Hello Wrenches:
Chris LaForge here from WI.
(Great Northern Solar, 10+ in the biz, full service RE dealer, BOD MREA,
Instructor MREI, etc...)
In responce to Don Wallingford's design fee issue I toss in the following:
Design fees are great if you can get them. 150-250 is usually not balked
at + travel expences,...but this does not pay for much. It is a handy way
to make sure clients are serious.
It may be difficult to get 300-500 but I do feel the service is valuable.
This and $1.25 US will get you a decent cup of JOE!
In adddition I must say that -Don Wallingford's Robin Hood theory is
something that may be happening quite alot. I know several of us out here
that break with "GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICE" and work a varying rates...this
does present some ethical problems but nothing that some good... thought
can take care of.
Being judgemental of other peoples way of living leaves us open to real
criticism and alienates us from people who may benefit from rubbing elbows
with truely conservative folks like ...me (I am a founding member of the
Truely Conservative Realist Party TCRP).
I have been able to work with some very well off folks that wanted green
power and they can really put up serious ammounts of capacity and help
others less fortunate find RE-Robin Hoods that have not starved to death.
Energetically, Chris LaForge
