UPS system info for HP76 [RE-wrenches]

I e-mailed Jerry to see what his loads were as a e-mail to you directly got
returned as unknown, below is the note and the response that I received; my
thoughts are below .

Hi Bob
The load would be about 300 watts or so, the printers could get shut off and
not get crazy
My battery voltage is nominal 144v dc and the other systems I would want to
help out vary from 12 to 60 volts nominal
My distance is Approx 100 feet
I think I know what you have in mind, but it's hard to find a very small
efficient 144v inverter to just keep hooked up for my computer

Bob's response:

I believe Exeltech (or another manufacturer) can custom build an inverter in
that voltage range, to supply just the computer equipment. That way the only
load on that inverter is the computer and you do not have problems when a
heavy load hits the main inverter, or your transfer switch lets generator
power through the system. You always have conditioned power from the
inverter and no problem with sudden changes in power quality caused by
outside forces, (water pump, washing machine, toaster, or whatever).
I am not sure what "other systems I would want to help out vary from 12 to
60 volts nominal" means! How many different voltages is he running?

That's my best quick response. It should isolate the computer and solve his
problem.

Very Small Computer UPS
Hi there, I was wondering if you could help me find a UPS system that
would accept quasisinewave input. I do a lot of switching around on
my system and I would like to have a steady supply of power. If you
know of one that would work I would like to buy it from whoever you
would suggest and then probably buy a few more for some people that I
know that have the same problem. We have tried about three standard
ones and even the one that you could adjust the voltage down 12 volts
from 120, but they would not recognize the inverter input. Thanks for
your help, and look forward to some business. I figured that you guys
