Awww..... Where's your sense of adventure?
See any future in aftermarket 24v conversions? How about 48v? I pitched
Trace on opening an out-of-warranty repair service, but they were cool on
the idea. I've also repaired a number of Heart 1200 watt inverters, both
for myself and others. Sure would like to get an in-home business started
that didn't require me to travel 50 miles to turn a screw, then drive back.
UPS could do all of the commuting for me with such a service business. This
stuff does break down now and then, and I assume that non-warranty units
are big $$$ to repair at the factory. For example, the 1200 watt Hearts
were estimated by the factory at $400, and I did the complete repair with
updated components for $125 + shipping.
