It's something in the characteristics of the cells themselves. That's 
why it is fairly consistant within an array of modules that come from 
the "bad batch".

Well, Ray and I both had them do replacement after warranty. The 
service lady told me the serial number range that they had 
identified, and they were in there, and the rest was just a matter of 
shipping 'em there and accepting exchange for the closest equivalent 
watts that they could send with new modules. Of course then, mounting 
is different because the modules have gotten bigger.

The service was "cheerful" -- which is the least they can do for 
having a known, unannounced problem.

If you are concerned, you might call them and ask for the serial 
number range of the problem. I no longer have it.
