Todd and all;
Bringing up politics in any forum is sure to provoke off-topic threads and
even a rebuke from the moderator, but it should be pretty clear that most
if not all of us on this list are very interested in seeing renewable
energy resources flourish and prosper under the coming new administration.
Each of us must vote carefully, and be mindful of what candidate is most
likely to provide the best leadership in all areas of our lives. I
personally would not like to see a President that deliberately kicks the
foundations from under clean and renewable sources of energy. Remember when
Ronald Reagan had all of the solar panels removed that Jimmy Carter had
installed on the White House?
I think we know which candidates are most friendly to our green interests.
In my case, I live in Oregon, which is considered a "swing" state this
election. Dilemma: Vote my conscience, or vote strategically? My mind was
made up at a recent concert when Jackson Browne told the audience "I'm
tired of voting for the lesser of two evils, this election, I'm voting for
the guy who says what I believe in."
Each of you should, in accordance with your own beliefs, do the same...
