I think I have just caught on to why we are not understanding each other...
I quote from Kurt...
"You are on the right track here, as the Trace drops into inverter mode
when AC1 is disconnected. It would be my understanding that in order to
maintain high efficiency though, the inverter can't be reconnected to
the utility until after battery voltage comes up above the bulk voltage
setting (solar), or the inverter will go into a charge cycle."
Now I think you assumed that the inverter would be in sell mode with AC1 disconnected.
If in fact the SW is in inverter mode, then the point I have been trying to make will
be more understandable. This is because then the lowering of the float setting would
prevent charging and the inverter could enter sleep mode.
We probably need to confirm this important point before I make any further comment...
That is, will the SW drop into inverter mode with AC1 disconnected or not ??
