Hey, if I got paid for ideas I'd be rich! But, most of my ideas end up as "freeware."

I am about to head out to the annual Hog Farm Pignic. A great event, a bunch of us set up a huge battery (thanks to Joe Marino -- he doesn't measure battery capacity by the amp-hour, but rather by the ton), whatever size array Dave Katz can come up with, and a 15 kw Exeltech inverter. This system runs the sound system and the lighting.

This year, Kelly Larson (of APC) is supplying bio-diesel to run the generators that are scattered throughout the event for power to booths and backup to the battery/inverter system. Kelly is in the early stages of a bio-diesel production business, using recycled fry oil!

Truly a renewable energy event! And, keep it in mind if you are in N. CA, it is by far the best music festival I have ever been to. Great music for 2 full days, and hardly anyone attends! Lots of room to dance, and plenty of aging hippies and young folk to party with.
