Personally, I would like to see this taken one step further for you guys, beyond a worker pool.

Most small RE dealers end up paying top wholesale dollar for RE equipment. An idea that a couple of folks bantered around after last year's Solwest fair was to form a buying cooperative. That would essentially be a high-volume wholesaler to get the best prices, and since it would be a cooperative of you guys, it would not need to make a profit, and could pass on all the best prices to you, less a small amount to cover the co-op's handling costs.

What do ya think about that? I know that won't sit right with you folks on the list that are already wholesaling. But definitely something like this could make the rest of you a bit more competitive with the discounters that everyone complains about.
