Gas Dryers and Washing Machines [RE-wrenches]

No first hand experience, but I have heard nothing but bad news on the Gibson units. Poor construction, etc.

Someone here reported a Maytag washer cousin called "Gibson" of conventional
design would start and run fine on a UX612 inverter.  If so (confirmations?)
this might be a good priced alternative.  Anyone know where these are
available from?
