	I think you are confusing liquid volume and gas volume. Engines consume
gas vapor. Liquid propane (and butane) are evaporated into gas before being
introduced into an internal combustion engine. Each gallon of propane when
evaporated into vapor yeilds 153 cubic feet of gas when allowed to expand
to atmospheric abmient pressure. This is why propane is such an attractive
fuel, it is very condensed power in a fairly stable and easily handled form.
