Full Power Switch [RE-wrenches]

The full power switches connect both windings in parallel for double the
current at only 120 volts.  This certainly helps increase the effective size
of the generator. Most Honda models have that switch if they are 240 volt
equipped.  However if the generator is of poor design and neither coil has
full peak voltage, you can still have that problem with low output on many
automotive chargers, Todd chargers to some extent and non sine Trace to a
great extent.  There is one more solution out there, a 10% boost transformer
that goes between generator and charger which seems to restore full charge
rate.  we are trying these this year but have little experience yet.  The
best solution of course is to have a better quality generator, usually in
the range of $2500 minimum, or most any 1800 rpm generator,  Brushless types
are the worst waveform I have seen.
