LG said they\u2019d ship the new unit if the installer (me) agreed to store the defective unit in the intervening weeks until the return boxes were ready. As many might know, the use of a second battery requires a LG with \u201csecondary\u201d classification (firmware, I assume) and the two are not interchangeable. The secondary units won\u2019t be available until September. Crazy, I know.
