<div dir="auto">Every now and then I get questions here in the land of hurricanes and golf courses about using golf carts as the battery bank for a permanently mounted grid-tie home PV system in a backup scenario. Does anyone have any ideas on a good way to do something like this? The battery would need to be able to be unplugged of course (not under load I hope!) It&#39;s mostly DIY&#39;ers trying to cobble together a solution for a small critical load panel for their home. <div dir="auto"><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">The idea is becoming more popular as people hear about using EVs for home backup. I&#39;d like to get ahead of it and maybe even offer a solution that&#39;s safe, legal, and functional.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Jason Szumlanski</div><div dir="auto">Florida Solar Design Group </div></div></div>
