<div dir="ltr">Hi Bill, <div>I started installing the LG AC modules this year. So far they seem like a great product. I have about 120 of them in the field so far, but I have had 0 issues. I used to install the Sunpower AC modules, but I like these more. There are no DC leads at all. There are just AC cables coming out of the microinverter on the back that connect to the next panel, so there is no AC drop cable. It takes a little getting used to the best ways to wire manage, but I've been finding it pretty straightforward. The commissioning process goes much more smoothly than it ever did with Sunpower. Two minor drawbacks - One is that with the commissioning, the customer needs to log in and approve the system before the monitoring will work. Two, is that the panel and microinverter are entirely one piece, so that if a microinverter were to fail the entire unit needs to get replaced. LG does offer a $450 labor reimbursement, and I have not had any issues yet, but that will be a more involved service than a simple microinverter replacement. Overall, these sell at a good price point and make for a simple installation.
