However given the comments I decided to include it in that it will hopefully clear up any confusion. </div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Where I used to live, the local community radio station ( poorly funded) has a old PV system with you guessed it a SMA SB2500U that was installed brand new a long time ago. </div><div dir="ltr">It failed and a replacement was located for $150. But it was 208 and not 240vac, which someone didn\u2019t catch when ordering it. </div><div dir="ltr">A buck/boost transformer allows it to work but adds tare losses that we were trying to remove. </div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">It is my understanding that a like for like component swap is covered under code rules. Regardless, no inspection or calls to the county permit office were made or will be made.
