It has huge 240V peak power. But you are correct that some 120V inductive loads >3/4hp can be an issue. We recommend rewiring those massive motors to 240V (most are convertible on the motor). The 1400W limit is with DC Loads. A heat gun on high is an AC load but on low, it only uses 1/2 of the sinewave (DC load).
