<p>I use 2/0 mainly because the 4 kw SW and Outback 24v inverters usually have a 175A or a greater breaker where I go 4/0. This allows the user to have some flexibility down the line. 24v bat cable loss is a higher issue also with pump surges. The pre-made cables from AEE & Soligent are often not listed, sometimes they are. </p>
<p>The 2 offgrid house fires I was asked to look at, insurance never asked about listed wire only listed devices. Cobra is great and Anchor has a higher temp rating for marine apps. Some inspectors in the Sierra want to see a lockable, leak protected bat enclosure that has OC protection. Often the do not even care about any of this. My .02</p>
