Howie, check that AC coupling is not enabled on XW+. Widen AC2 genset specs to max. XW+ should be 60.0 hertz on inverter and sync to genset frequency.

On a separate note, I'm having an issue with one of the XW+6848's that are using the blueions, although I don't think the battery has anything to do with the issue. This is a client I just upgraded from a dual stack vfx3648. They just replaced the generator in part on my recommendation (it was old, but also one leg was putting out 66-70 HZ, which seemed very odd but my meter said as much and so did the XW. When we tried to sync the inverter to the old generator to charge the batteries, the inverter wouldn't pick up the generator, which is when I discovered high inverter output HZ. I talked to Schneider and they convinced me that the generator caused the inverter to mimic the voltage/frequency characteristics, so even though the inverter never packed up the generator, once the inverter saw the gennie output, it got stuck at this higher frequency and stayed there until I power-cycled the inverter. Sounded plausible to me. However, after having just replaced the generator to a 14kW Kohler, the client tried to get the generator to pick up that new power output, and the inverter frequency ended up sky high again. Unfortunately, I was not on site (headed there now) to see up close what is going on, but it seems too coincidental that the new genny would be causing the high frequency. Just wondering if you've heard of any similar circumstances. I'm not sure I trust Schneider support to suss out the problem accurately, hence I am asking you. I will try them when I get to the site, just looking for anyideas on you part.

Discover AES also gives redundancy if you use 2 or more of their 6.5KWH batteries. The reason I use them is their is no configuration. Plug in xanbus and AES bus and some battery cables and you are done. See screenshot. They work with Outback but you need to program setpoints and wire an external Battery monitor if you want Soc.
