Back in the day, I decommissioned a number (15?) of AES 1000 inverters. I actually discovered a flaw in the DC input circuit, that I found a fix for, and I was able to keep a few more going for many years.

I have a "luggable" 900Wdc off-grid system" that I used to take on the road for demos: 5 ea Tata 180s, 1 ea Blue Sky CC, 2 ea 104 Ah AGM batteries and a Xantrex 1 kWac inverter. Well I haven't demoed the system for years now and I would like to convert it to a grid tied-system,

So I was thinking of finding a working AES 100. Tump May mentioned a client in Maine that had three that were decommissioned -- working -- and I contacted him, but he wasn't all that motivated to ship two of them for a modest fee.

So my question is, "Are there any other folks with these AES 1000s lying around?" I am willing to pay freight and packaging and pay someone $100 for the trouble.

Or is there a 1kW 120 Vac grid tied inverter on the market?

- Peter

Peter T.
