Its a Magnum MS 4448 PAE, 48 v 845 AH of HUP batteries, 2/0
cables. Happens day or night. Also the lights are not on a
dimmer, just a regular switch. It happens to the LEDs all over
the house. They are the Econolight brand from Home Depot. Feit
brand have less flicker, but are still not acceptable.</p><p class="">We're thinking the distortion of the waveform by the washer is
creating harmonic distortion that the LEDs are responding to.
Still hoping filtering or different bulbs will fix the issue. <br class="">

We have a customer with a new high efficiency washer running
on a Magnum <br class="">
inverter. When it is in wash cycle, the LED lights flicker
rhythmically <br class="">
with its operation. We can see a corresponding distortion of

form on an oscilloscope, but RMS voltage is steady at 117
vac. It does <br class="">
not cause trouble with incandescent lighting, and the washer
works fine.<br class="">

My questions:<br class="">

1) Has anyone else seen washing machines causing trouble with
lighting <br class="">
or other loads?<br class="">
<br class="">
2) Is there any line filtering available that might cure this?<br class="">
<br class="">
3) Are some LED lights more prone to issues? We are
considering <br class="">
having the customer switch from the Home Depot cheapo LEDs to
Phillips <br class="">
or other higher end bulbs.<br class="">
<br class="">
4) Could it be related to the bulbs being dimmable? Should we
be using <br class="">
non-dimmable bulbs?<br class="">
<br class="">
