<div><div><div dir="auto">Jay,</div><div dir="auto">I have done 2 systems rail less on standing seam. One was 7 modules on a trapezoid shaped roof with a skylight in it. Row of 3 on the bottom , row of two plus skylight on next row up and 2 modules on the top row. Modules were landscape. Wire management was difficult and we were 3 stories up on a milk carton shaped house but luckily had.a rugged hydraulic man lift the glass company was using to put in many large custom windows. This was probably the best mounting in this situation but the the other system was on a standard roof with 24 modules and it was a nightmare for positioning and wire management . This concept was discussed in this forum recently, so if you have been away<br>
you might check the archives. Cons I remember included: awkward spacing of<br>
module support points, no wire management, confusing options for clip<br>
selection, likely poor module alignment and poor ventilation. There may be<br>
more cons and I guess the only pro I can think of is saving the cost of<br>
rail? I have looked into it and I just haven't been convinced it is a good<br>
idea.<br>

Its not a large system. 16 modules on two roof orientations, ( 4 on one, 12<br>
on the other) with offset modules. Standing metal seam roof that is being<br>
installed with solar in mind, lots of fasteners.<br>

Hes very competent and pays attention to details.<br>

Any positive/negative recommendations.<br>
