<div style="font-size: 10pt;"><div dir="auto">I put a couple of a.c. powered garage door openers in my garage a couple of years ago. They both had an onboard 12v battery as backup that allowed a few operations when the grid was down. </div><div dir="auto">I used them for a couple of months that way before I got power run out from the house. I charged them with a small Morningstar CC and about a 20W module.
