and it\u2019s suggested that you angle the panels 75+ degrees to keep snow from accumulating on the panels. In northern Canada/Alaska I\u2019ve seen panels installed at 90degree to keep snow from accumulating\u2026 With this you need to disable Auto EQ, and I\u2019d also suggest
insulating the battery bank, and moving them together so they will help keep each other warm. When you return, you\u2019ll have to remove the insulation, and separate the batteries again so you can get summer time airflow between the batteries. </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D"> </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D">Generally leaving the controller on works well 99% of the time\u2026 unfortunately the only 100% fool proof way to not have frozen batteries
is to pull them, or go with a AGM battery, although we did have a customer last season where the AGM batteries froze in an installation in Northern Canada. This is what happens when you install them outside on the porch!
