Mac, you need to be more specific about your needs and budget. Is a
Shurflo 9300 too expensive at $800+? It can be set up to run on a
single 12V module at about 1/2 gpm, all day; at 1/2-speed it'll go
for about 3 years before needing parts replaced. Is the smallest
Sunrotor too expensive? What's the application? Could a Dankoff
Slowpump be hung in a dug well? One of those will last for years or
decades if the filters are kept clean, and can run on as little as
25 watts of PV.<br>

Water pumping is the most application-specific use of solar that I
know. The answer is <i>always</i> "It depends". And you haven't
given us enough information to help you.<br>
