<div>Agreed about the different metal gauge on DIN rail which is ostensibly the same "size". Specifically in the Xantrex XW Power Distribution Panel, the steel used for that ACbreaker rail is so thick thatSquare-D QOU breakers require some wiggling & wrestling. I can see where other brand breakers might not work at all.</div>

I'm not sure, but you might be able to snap the venerable QOU in. Imagine being able to DIN rail mount bypass switches, separate breakers for in/out, jump them together with a buss bar (or not), all in one box that had a reasonable price?<br>

I cant imagine the Epanel or Nottagutter making you feel claustrophobic they are roomy and easy to see into and very easy to use.<br>
<br>Also Midnite solar is in the process of having there combiners listed for AC use as well as DC. I think we have to step up here and say out of all the solar manufacturer's we deal with Robin at Midnite solar listens and gives us what we ask for when practical. I know he has done 1 off Epanels for a friend of mine in New York I don't see any of the other manufacturer's doing that<br>
