Hi Brad and Jeff,

Yes I've used the Ecotherm, Empire, Orbis and Cozy.  Present plan is 
to use a Monitor.  But what' I'm hoping for is some slick new way of 
operating those heaters without juice AND without a pilot.

Am I dreaming?  Perhaps I'll have to use a small UPS?

We are putting in a 20 unit "Solar Village" and need a direct vent 
space heater that won't leave the folks cold when the power goes out 
but the engineer on the project won't accept a wasteful pilot light.

Any more thoughts or ideas?
