Dear Wrenches,
Can anyone say why this set-up is killing any
battery that is placed in the lower right corner? I note two unusual
events. The first is that the other three batteries in the lower bank have
increased in voltage, relative to all other batteries. This causes this
bank to roughly equal all the other battery bank voltages. The second
uniquity is the high amperage readings of the second bank up. All these
readings were taken while the system was charging from the photovoltaics.
My only answer is to cross-tie the banks, but I don't want to do this without
relative certainty of success. This system worked great until it was taken
apart and re-assembled (by someone else;)). I'm stumped! Any
takers? Has someone seen this battery bank . . .
