Frank,
Bob O, is probably headed in the right direction.
Specifically what alternator does he have on that generator? Most of the
old style alternators can be bridged to give 10 kW @ 120 volt. If it is not that
might help, also check the rpm and make sure it is running at least at 1850 with
no load (I run mine a little higher than that) it helps get better
charger performance)
I am willing to bet that the voltage is low and it needs to have it's rpm
increased.
If you want to contact me directly I might be able to help
more.
Have a good Holiday,
Bob Ellison
Hello fellow wrenches,
Got a problem
that I hope I can get some feedback on. I have a customer that
uses a
DR-3624 off of 12 L-16HC batteries. He supplies power to his shop that
includes lathe, drill press, table saw, etc. While running directly from
inverter power everything runs just fine. While charging battery bank his
microwave in the house and 40 watt fluorescent light in power shed will
not
operate. Everything else runs just fine including power tools. His
genset is
a 10,000 watt China Diesel that is almost brand new. I'm at a
loss. Anyone
want to tackle this one?
SUNcerely,
Frank
