Re: Water Miser Caps
[RE-wrenches]
It was
my understanding that ALL battery caps have the flame arrestor
ability. Jim Drizos (spelling?) at Trojan Battery told me to
always leave the caps on and never loosen or remove them for
EQing--they are designed to vent at all charge rates and must be in
place to prevent such a flash back.
BTW,
if reduced watering is NOT their intent, why are they called
such? Why not "Flip Top Easy Access So You Can Add Water
And Your Batteries Wont Explode" Caps?
Guess
I better keep wrenching those wires and leave the marketing to the
smart guys....

..... The Hindenburg's hydrogen did not explode,
the hydrogen flashed out. The skin of the dirigible caught fire. The
only people who died were the ones that jumped from 200'. EVERYONE
who rode the Hindenburg to Earth lived. However, a hydrogen flashback
into a battery CAN cause an ugly explosion - Water Miser Safety Vent
Caps prevent this.
OK. Here's a product name NOT to use -- LEAD ZEPPELIN !
(sorry)
