Here is an idea for a desulfator test.  Albeit not to scientific.

1)Using  batteries from a system the recently had new batteries put in.  This way you know you have some pretty tired batteries.

2) Set up two identical lighting systems each controlled by C12's.  One with a desulafator, one without.

3)  See which light regularly stays on the longest after sunset.

I suppose this could be done with lost of different loads but since this product needs to be tested over a long period one could set this up at their house and easily observe what light stays on longer with out having to regularly check cell voltages and spec. gravity.
