FYI, I just found out about a 'new' battery cable called Arctic Ultraflex Blue.  Specs claim -55 to 105 degree C temperature range. Fine copper construction with a jacket material resistant to oil, gasoline, sunlight salt water, acids and chemicals.  Highly abrasion resistant also.  UL listed MTW 600v and vertical flame test. Its about a dollar a foot, depending. Ranges from 8awg to 4/0. I haven't used it yet, but it looks interesting.
