Then remove the 1/2" end away (the 1 closet to the lug end) then use the 1/8" wide insulation towards the cable end and slide towards the lug end, it will compress the strands allowing you to easily install the strands into a lug. I will use No-Ox ID, a wire grease, to also tame the strands. Jay were aging ourselves!
