<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">For a followup, it appears that the problem was in a ribbon cable connection. After checking the power wiring and starting the inverter again, the problem still remained. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Then, I disconnected and reconnected the ribbon cables at both ends. On restart, the voltage was with 6 V of the multi meter reading. I adjusted this out with the offset in the calibration menu. The voltage has read steady for a day now.</span></p>

<div dir="ltr">Also look for loose connections and corrosion. If it tries to push current and the voltage rapidly rises, it can indicate resistance somewhere.
