<div dir="ltr">I bought a LiTime 18A charger, which appears to be similar to other inexpensive chargers. It charges up to a certain voltage, about 54 to 55 volts, not the 58.4 volts it says (which is good) and then turns off. It does not turn on again at any voltage I've been down to. Maybe at some voltage below 52 it might I don't know. It does not turn on again unless I disconnect and reconnect the AC. Maybe the other similar chargers do this also, maybe not. It will charge without DC voltage connected. <div><br></div><div>I also bought the Nice-Power 60V/10A power supply from Current Connected and it works just as expected. </div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote gmail_quote_container"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Fri, Feb 14, 2025 at 7:07 AM Jay via RE-wrenches <<a href="mailto:re-wrenches@lists.re-wrenches.org">re-wrenches@lists.re-wrenches.org</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div dir="auto"><div dir="ltr"></div><div dir="ltr">I bought this one for a client. </div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Works fine </div><div dir="ltr">I removed the end and put clamps on it. $95</div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr"><div style="display:block"><div style="display:inline-block" role="link"><a style="border-radius:10px;font-family:-apple-system,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;display:block;width:228px;overflow:hidden;text-decoration:none" rel="nofollow" href="https://m.vevor.com/battery-chargers-c_13280/vevor-48-volt-golf-cart-battery-charger-15-amp-smart-battery-charger-with-rxv-plug-compatible-with-lead-acid-agm-gel-efb-mf-flooded-nmc-lifepo4-batteries-for-ezgo-txt-ip67-waterproof-etl-certified-p_010217361551" dir="ltr" role="button" width="228" target="_blank"><table style="table-layout:fixed;border-collapse:collapse;width:228px;background-color:rgb(230,230,229);font-family:-apple-system,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" width="228"><tbody><tr><td align="center"><img style="width: 228px; height: 228px;" width="228" height="228" alt="battery-charger-m100-1.2.jpg" src="cid:ii_195051283af3aaae2ae1"></td></tr><tr><td><table bgcolor="#E6E6E5" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="228" style="table-layout:fixed;font-family:-apple-system,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;background-color:rgb(230,230,229)"><tbody><tr><td style="padding:8px 0px"><div style="max-width:100%;margin:0px 16px;overflow:hidden"><div style="font-weight:700;font-size:12px;overflow:hidden;text-overflow:ellipsis;text-align:left"><a rel="nofollow" href="https://m.vevor.com/battery-chargers-c_13280/vevor-48-volt-golf-cart-battery-charger-15-amp-smart-battery-charger-with-rxv-plug-compatible-with-lead-acid-agm-gel-efb-mf-flooded-nmc-lifepo4-batteries-for-ezgo-txt-ip67-waterproof-etl-certified-p_010217361551" style="text-decoration:none" target="_blank"><font color="#000000" style="color:rgb(0,0,0)">VEVOR 48 Volt Golf Cart Battery Charger, 15 AMP, Smart Battery Charger with RXV Plug, Compatible with Lead-Acid AGM/GEL/EFB MF Flooded NMC LiFePO4 Batteries for EZGO TXT, IP67 Waterproof ETL Certified</font></a></div><div style="font-weight:600;font-size:11px;overflow:hidden;text-overflow:ellipsis;text-align:left"><a rel="nofollow" href="https://m.vevor.com/battery-chargers-c_13280/vevor-48-volt-golf-cart-battery-charger-15-amp-smart-battery-charger-with-rxv-plug-compatible-with-lead-acid-agm-gel-efb-mf-flooded-nmc-lifepo4-batteries-for-ezgo-txt-ip67-waterproof-etl-certified-p_010217361551" style="text-decoration:none" target="_blank"><font color="#A2A2A9" style="color:rgba(60,60,67,0.6)">vevor.com</font></a></div></div></td></tr></tbody></table></td></tr></tbody></table></a></div></div><br></div><div dir="ltr"><br><blockquote type="cite">On Feb 14, 2025, at 7:27 AM, Mac Lewis via RE-wrenches <<a href="mailto:re-wrenches@lists.re-wrenches.org" target="_blank">re-wrenches@lists.re-wrenches.org</a>> wrote:<br><br></blockquote></div><blockquote type="cite"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr">Hello Jason,<div><br></div><div>I have had success with the cheap, variable power supplies on Amazon. Its nice to be able to adjust output voltage from 0-60V for the various battery bank voltages we encounter. You have to build your own cord but they are small and easy to have on the truck. They are slow but typically, this isn't a big deal if you are just trying to get it above the BMS cut out voltage. There is very little actual charge from <40V to 48V, then you can engage the power system to do the heavy charging. I like to be able to apply charge to the cell directly if there is one that is problematic if there is access to the cell level. <div><br></div><div>Just remember that you probably want a power supply that doesn't require a battery to wake up.
It's hard to have all of the tools, dongles, apps etc that we need on a service call these days!
