<p class="v1MsoNormal"><span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-US;">One thing that I didn't find clear in the MPPT RS documentation is when a shutdown is initiated, it shuts _<em>everything</em>_ on the Xanbus network down. All devices go into standby mode. Gen shuts down if running. Power is off. Not just the PV via Tigo modules. Had to develop client instruction sheet as to how to power up after a shutdown. </span></p>

<p class="v1MsoNormal"><span style="mso-fareast-language: EN-US;">On one hand, I can see why a single point shutdown is desired outcome. But it concerns me that it's vulnerable to abuse. If the whole system shutdown is not desired, the Xanbus connection can be omitted and then RS will be limited to the PV modules only. </span></p>

<p class="v1MsoNormal">To me, it looks relatively straightforward to get NEC 2023 rapid shutdown compliant using Tigo TS4AF, and adding Schneider's MPPT Disconnect RS and external rapid shutdown initiator.  It's a little strange though because it has 2017 NEC compliant all over the documentation but I believe we are good through NEC 2023 because shutdown occurs at a module level and the Disconnect RS can take care of arc-fault monitoring.  </p>
