No one knew quite what was happening as the Enphase box had died of course 2 months past warranty & the owner was shocked at the replacement cost as was I. It really did not make sense to replace as it cost way more than the savings on power over a prolonged period of time.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif;color:black'> <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif;color:black'>I remember back at my first “Introduction to Enphase” seminar where the engineer kept using the term;” mean time to failure”. I kept listening as he used this term multiple times. So, I asked for clarification. MTF – If you are using similar components in similar conditions they should last X number of years based on similar types of equipment in similar conditions. I realized that this meant – “we really don’t know how long these inverters will survive in the real world. Ive been there when its all out of pocket and l know some of you have too and you have to fix it all and its all on you. l have megs of enphase both in California and Hawaii so jumping ship for another brand is to late even if l wanted to.
