<div dir="ltr">Hi Drake<div><br></div><div>Probably the biggest development in off grid solar refrigeration is the growing use of battery free solar direct drive (SDD) fridges and freezers. These are now in widespread use by the global immunization community for vaccine refrigeration and some ice pack freezing. It is believed there are over 10,000 already deployed with many more planned in the next few years.</div><div><br></div><div>There are 7 manufacturers around the globe that have earned WHO "pre-qualification" after passing stringent testing focused on conserving vaccine. Some also offer SDD for other uses.
