<div dir="ltr"><div dir="auto"></div><div class="gmail_extra">The old SW's used to be called "sinewave" but they weren't really full sinewave outputs. The outputs had steps or "shorts' in them and the amount of steps depended on what the battery voltage on the input was. </div><div class="gmail_extra"><br></div><div class="gmail_extra">Generally these steps ranged between 32 and 60 steps, if I remember correctly... the steps are what caused nightmares with some, but not many appliances in the mid 90's...</div><div class="gmail_extra"><br></div><div class="gmail_extra">Today, with the appliances getting more and more sensitive, this issue comes up more often. This often leads the customer into having to buy a new inverter that has a cleaner waveform... Most of the "Pure Sinewave" inverter out there run in the 350-400 steps these days, that means the shorting time constants are much shorter, and doesn't affect the appliances like they did in the past... </div><div class="gmail_extra"><br></div><div class="gmail_extra">With that being said, still to this day some appliances are also affected by even the newer inverters.
