Gary,

Is this an off-grid system? In any case, there is no reason that connecting the generator through the Radian means the batteries will charge automatically. And to not use the native charging capabilities of the Radian doesn't make much sense financially or functionally. Any other charger will either not charge the bank very well or will add substantial cost and control issues.

Howie

Howie Michaelson
NABCEP Certified Solar PV Installer™
Sun Catcher, LLC
Renewable Energy Systems Sales and Service
VT Solar Electric Incentive Partner
802-272-0004

He also has a large generator to power some large loads. He does not want the generator tied to the outback. He does not like automatic features but would like to run a simple battery charger whenever he has the generator running. Is this an issue with the outback system? And if not does anyone have a charger they recommend in this application?

--
Sent from Gmail Mobile
