The two remotes are completely different from each other... If by
SWRC you mean<br>
the black (typically) rectangular remote for the SW that looks the
same as the<br>
one on the SW inverter itself with the LCD and the 4 big (ish)
square buttons.<br>

The SWRC has a bunch of separate wires in the parallel printer
looking<br>
cable that communicate directly with the remote's<br>
push-buttons and LCD. <br>
<br>
The RC5 contains its own microprocessor and RS232 communications
lines that<br>
talk to the M or DR inverters. The DR and M (marine) inverters
are very similar.<br>
