<div dir="ltr">That's an astute question Jerry. Search mode on any inverter brand can cause all sorts of problems with a variety of unexpected non-RE plain normal consumer equipment. Better to set search mode off, and instruct non-full-time residents to push the button to turn the inverter itself off when they leave and push it on when they are up there to their second home or remote cabin. <div>But also I've seen more than a few problems with hardwired smoke and CO detectors and also GFCI outlets on off-grid inverters, search mode off and completely non-related. </div><div><br></div><div>My guess is that "wireless" smokes doesn't mean wifi, it means injecting signals on the AC lines, and my next guess is the waveform and response of the off-grid inverter is the cause of your problems, as that injected signal doesn't come through pure. I think I'd first pull the AC bypass breakers, run generator or utility direct for a true sine wave, and see if the problem persists. </div><div><br></div><div>Best. <br><div><br></div></div></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br clear="all"><div><div class="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr">Dan Fink<div>Buckville Energy</div><div>IREC Certified Instructor™ for: </div><div>~ PV Installation Professional</div><div>~ Small Wind Installer</div><div>NABCEP / IREC / ISPQ Accredited Continuing Education Providers™<br>970.672.4342<br><br> </div></div></div></div>
