    Just to pile on here, if you're running 4 pairs of low-voltage dc
    for 400' you may be better off just sticking the inverters right
    there at the array and making the long run as 240Vac. #2s on each
    inverter output (22A?) would work, keeping voltage drop to 1.3%. If
    you choose to combine inverter outputs right there at the array
    (you'd need ac disconnects there anyway) you'd have to run #3/0 for
    a 1.3% drop. Not sure whether that's more feasible for you.<br>
