I'm having an off-list conversation with another Wrench about IronRidge's new IGS system - and supply issues that left us with tons of rail and no module mid-clamps. What a disaster.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif">

<br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif">While many have moved away from Unirac, we just moved back. Although they have had supply/distribution problems over the years, they've been overall reliable and stable, even after being acquired. On the other hand, don't get me started about their lack of an ASCE 7-10 compliant installation manual for a long time after it was required here.</div>

<div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif">I really didn't intent to blast any particular manufacturer, but looking at the big picture I have to consider with whom I'm getting into bed. These acquisitions are worrisome in that respect.</div>

      I like Snap N Rack's products, but when I tried to order equipment
      (no distributors carry their stuff in Colorado)   they never
      returned my calls or emails.  I'd certainly be wary of their
      future support, if they won't even return calls for sales.<br>
      Frankly I'm going to start calling out ALL manufacturers that
      don't back their product, or otherwise don't treat us RE Wrenches
      with respect from here on out.  <br>
      Manufacturers' reps on this list be forewarned.   <br>
      I'm getting too old, and worked to hard in this industry to pull
      punches now, and I don't think I'm doing my fellow wrenches any
      service covering up for the manufacturers' mistakes any more
      either.<div class="im"><br>

            curious if these vertical integrators will still make their
            acquired brands available to small dealers through
            distribution. When SolarCity snatched up Zep, I had concerns
            about being able to service or add onto existing Zep systems
            we installed. That's definitely a concern going forward, and
            reason to perhaps stick with the most compatible racking
            solutions available. We used IronRidge for a while, which is
            largely compatible with Unirac, but now we're back on the
            Unirac bandwagon. </font></div>
