size=2>I ask the client to ship me all the hardware, camera, routers,
modem etc and set it up and datalog to ascertain precisely how much energy
is required, and if there are any efficiencies to be gain ie DC direct vs
Inverter. Many cameras, at least in the cold north here, also have small heaters
in them to prevent fog or ice which can add to power load significantly so that
needs to be considered. If I am testing in summer I'll put camera in the freezer
and continue to monitor it's power consumption. </FONT></SPAN></DIV>

client does not want to do this process, I generally pass on the job. From
experience the client who is unwilling to do proper load analysis is the first
to threaten legal when it doesn't work. Many times years later they come
back with tail between legs for help and more willing to follow the process.
