That looks great Eric; thanks for
sharing. For this particular market (under 1000 watt inverter)
UL/ ETL listing is just not an issue. As soon as we're going for
a full on code compliant house system, complete with Finicky AHJ,
we're looking at Magnum or Outback Inverters with Midnite E
panels.
All my little stuff is stand alone, demonstrations, or mobile
applications. I've mated the Mini DC box from Midnite with
Magnum's 600 watt inverter (pic attached) We still love to make
it look good, and not have DC wiring running loose ala the early
90s or some Car stereo installer.

We build a pre-wired power center based around the SureSine
300. So far we've been sending most of them to East Africa
to power computers, lights and phone chargers in schools and
clinics. The chassis are made by the same sheet metal
fabricator who builds boxes for Midnite and Magnum, (and
previously Outback and Trace), and our products have
definitely benefited from that outstanding heritage of design
and manufacturing.

also have an aluminum security cover that encloses the

Right now I'm trying to decide if its worth
jumping through the hoops and paying the thousands of $$ to
get ETL listing. As you say, there is not that much of a
market for small off-grid systems here in N America. I'd
be interested in feedback from the Wrenches on that point. Do
you guys see a market for our small power centers in your
business? Would ETL/UL listing make a difference in your
markets? Small scale off-grid systems are often (usually?)
not inspected, so maybe listing is not a requirement...
I'd love any advice or feedback you guys might have. Thanks.
