Drake,<br>
The fans, there are 2, are define.itely quieter than the FX fans.  I would not want it in a living space, but in a garage or laundry room it is fine.  The fans are inside if the chassis so you are hearing them through the screen cover.<br>
You can also hear the transformer buzz, which is similar to my old SW at similar power.  <br>
I am totally satisfied with the Radian as a grid tie inverters.<br>
