Just make sure that you take off enough material so that the new brush slides easily in and out of the brush holder.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'>You can get motor brushes in various sizes from any electric motor repair shop, or even at auto parts stores. If it has run through a set of brushes, it probably has quite a few running hours on it. Who knows what will wear out next. Years ago, the Italian manufacturer made some products that weren't up to standard, or some such. Cost Dankoff a lot of money to support warranties. Dankoff sued the manufacturer in international court and won, but never collected anything. That was the end of that relationship, of course. <br><br>Usually the ovoid or the flexible gasket goes before the brushes, and they're made out of unobtanium. I think he eventually gave up, but he might have brushes.<br><br>I think I know of one that I installed that's still working after 15 years. Of course, the property was vacant for 14 of those years.
