remember Richard with such warmth and laughter. He and I had many a
laugh together - a true fellow playful spirit - an elf of sorts and one
of the original solar elders - a true pioneer and groundbreaker. I am
sad I won't see him again in this life on one of my trips back East.<br><br>Richard
devoted many hours and many years to going out of his way to help
others - He was instrumental in NESEA (Northeast Solar Energy
Association) and SEBANE - (Solar Energy Business Association of New
England) where he served on the Board for many years. He brought such
cheer and good energy to those organization - and touched deeply
everyone he worked with.<br><br>Richard and I worked on a few projects
together - and I always looked forward to being with him. He was a true
Brother.<br><br>Richard was truly a great human being - he gave so much
love and good humor - while also serving the solar field tirelessly.<br><br>Hats
off and a deep bow to you Richard Gottlieb! May you fly free wherever

awareness and installations into the public mind
I would call him my friend, one of my early mentors and a constant source
of inspiration and guidance whenever I had some design questions that I
needed feedback with.
He knew how to play and be resourceful and innovative. He was a natural
teacher and we co-taught together many Solar Design and Installation
courses for Solar Energy International.
Richard has left behind a rich legacy of installs and many talented
installers and designers who gained their beginnings in this field under
Richards mentoring.
He will be much missed by those who knew him, worked with him and got
their start under his guidance.
