Hey all...thanks for the feed back....Steve.....we typically use the included silicon grease......being that these systems were installed more than a couple years ago.....I can't be certain this was done on these systems...I will make sure that we don't overlook this step in the future.....In both cases I don't think the connectors were damaged or defective as we had over 2 years of normal operation and when the problems developed the connections had not been tinkered with, played with or moved.......oh well......I guess I am just hoping this does not happen with any regularity and that somehow the connection had just weakened over time......<br>

but consider that the last solar maximum was in 2000 ad. An 11 year
cycle would put us right about in the middle of another peak. Occasional
rogue solar flares, like the one in 1989 that knocked out the entire Quebec
power grid and part of the NW US grid do appear and vanish within a day or two
leaving behind only baffled humans and irate radio operators.

needed to be reset was that the chargers on the inverters were turned off and

having any similar experiences? This is puzzling as we haven't ever had
this kind of problem and for some coincidental reason we had two systems both
with long term smooth operating histories have the same issue......we
appreciated the quick, accessible, competent support from Outback tech support
but remain puzzled as to what may have triggered these odd
