From my only a couple of times the single inverter is easier. Hello Wrenches,<br><br>I am designing several 100KW systems for potential customers. My objective is the most efficient and reliable system possible.<br>The system size seems to be right at the crossroads of either using one 100KW PV Powered inverter or a couple of Sunny Towers.<br>According to CEC data, the overall efficiency of the SMA SB8000 w/transformer is about 2% higher than the PV Powered PVP100KW.<br>Also according to the data, the new SMA transfromerless 10KW's efficiency is about 3% higher than the PVP100.<br><br>So, it seems that according to the data (assuming all other factors are equal) a couple of Sunny Towers with several transformerless inverters is the most efficient way to go.<br><br>My questions to you are:<br><br>1) Is it really? Do any of you have any real world efficiency/output comparisons with a PVP100 (or similar) vs Sunny Towers?<br> Any comments regarding reliability would be greatly appreciated.<br><br>2) How
reliable are transformer-less inverters?<br> We are located in FL, the lighting capital of the world (or at least the US).
